Surf Camp

So last week was our annual surf camp with a local orphanage.  This year we partnered with the Peace Corps to host it and it was definitely a success!  Hopefully we will get to do another one again sometime later in the fall.  In addition to surfing lessons each day, we had a beach cleanup teaching the kiddos not to litter and taught a lesson about health and sanitation (say no to drugs, wash your hands before you eat, don’t eat or drink after somebody that’s sick, and wash your fruits and vegetables…you know the important stuff!).  And of course there was soccer, frisbee, capture the flag, and fun sports on the beach.  Then the last day we had a big celebratory party with a couscous lunch.  Here are some of the best pics from the week.

Wow, what a fantastic day! To see the thrill of their first “surf sensation” on their faces…amazing the impact you’re making–and so “out of the box”. Love it! Can’t wait for more good news–soon, eh?
Loving you guys and miss you more than you know!
